Refund & Cancellation Policy
This page explains our refund and cancellation policy for Dietzeo subscriptions. We believe in clear, simple terms - no fine print.
1. Free trial
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card or payment information is required to start the trial.
When the 14-day trial ends and you have not subscribed:
- Your account is not deleted.
- Your data is preserved.
- The app enters read-only mode - you can view existing clients and plans but cannot create new ones, send new payment links, or edit existing records.
- You can subscribe at any time to restore full access.
2. Paid subscriptions - no refunds
Once you subscribe to a paid plan and make a payment, that payment is non-refundable. This applies whether you signed up for a monthly plan, an annual plan, or any other paid period.
We adopt this policy because:
- You get a generous 14-day free trial to evaluate the Service before paying.
- Subscription fees include hosting, data backups, and support costs that are incurred upfront for the entire billing period.
- It keeps our pricing low and our team focused on improving the product.
By choosing to subscribe, you confirm that you have evaluated the Service during the trial and accept the no-refund terms.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the in-app Settings page (Settings → Account & Teams → Subscription).
When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.
- You retain full access during this period.
- At the end of the period, the account moves to read-only mode (same as expired trial).
- No refund is issued for unused days in the period.
We do not auto-renew subscriptions. You will receive a reminder before your subscription expires, and you can choose to renew when you are ready.
4. Data after cancellation
Cancelling does not immediately delete your data. Your data is kept in read-only form, and you can:
- Sign back in at any time and view historical records.
- Export your data for up to 30 days from cancellation.
- Reactivate your subscription at any time and resume full use.
After 30 days of cancellation, we may delete your active data. Required records (audit logs, transaction history, tax records) are retained for the periods specified in our Privacy Policy.
5. Exceptions - when refunds may be considered
In rare circumstances, we may issue a refund at our discretion. These typically include:
- Duplicate or accidental charges: if you were billed twice for the same period due to a system error, the duplicate is refunded.
- Service unavailability: if the Service has been completely unavailable for an extended period (more than 7 consecutive days) due to our fault, we may issue a partial credit or refund.
- Failed migrations or major bugs: if we introduce a change that materially breaks core functionality and cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, we may refund the affected portion.
These exceptions are evaluated case-by-case and are at our sole discretion. To request consideration, email hello@dietzeo.com with your account email and a clear description of the issue.
6. Refunds initiated by your bank or card issuer
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your bank without first contacting us, we may suspend your account pending resolution. Most issues can be resolved much faster by contacting us directly.
7. End Client payments are not covered
This policy applies only to subscription payments between you (the Nutritionist) and Dietzeo. It does not apply to payments your End Clients make to you through payment links generated in the app.
Refund disputes between you and your End Clients are between you and that End Client. You are responsible for setting and communicating your own refund policy for the diet plans, consultations, or services you provide.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Subscriptions purchased before a change are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
