Medical & Platform Disclaimer
Please read this disclaimer carefully before using Dietzeo or relying on any information delivered through it. This is the most important page on our site for understanding what we do and what we do not do.
Dietzeo is a software-as-a-service tool used by independent nutritionists to manage their own practices. Dietzeo itself does not create, review, or endorse any diet plan, nutrition advice, or medical recommendation made on the platform.
Every diet plan, recommendation, meal suggestion, and piece of guidance you see in Dietzeo is the sole work and sole responsibility of the Nutritionist who created it. We are not party to any nutritionist-client relationship, and we accept no liability for the medical accuracy, suitability, or outcomes of any plan you receive.
1. What Dietzeo is
Dietzeo is a software platform - comparable to project-management software, CRM software, or scheduling software. It provides registered nutritionists with tools to:
- Maintain a public profile and intake form for prospective clients.
- Manage their pipeline of leads and active clients.
- Build and deliver diet plans using their own knowledge and templates.
- Schedule meetings and track progress.
- Generate payment links for their consultation fees.
The platform is the storage cabinet, the spreadsheet, the email tool, and the delivery channel. The advice itself comes from the Nutritionist.
2. What Dietzeo is not
Dietzeo is not:
- A healthcare provider, hospital, or clinic.
- A medical, nutritional, or wellness service.
- An employer of, agent of, or partner with the Nutritionists who use the platform.
- A reviewer or approver of any diet plan or nutrition advice.
- A registered medical practitioner under any law in any jurisdiction.
The Dietzeo team does not include doctors, dietitians, or licensed nutritionists acting in any professional capacity within the platform. We build the software; the Nutritionists provide the expertise.
3. Who is responsible for what
The Nutritionist is responsible for:
- Holding the qualifications and registrations legally required to provide nutrition advice in their jurisdiction.
- The medical accuracy, safety, and appropriateness of every diet plan, recommendation, and instruction they create.
- Considering the End Client's full medical history, allergies, conditions, and current medications before issuing any plan.
- Following applicable healthcare regulations, codes of conduct, and professional standards.
- Maintaining their own professional indemnity insurance where applicable.
The End Client is responsible for:
- Disclosing complete and accurate health information to their Nutritionist.
- Consulting a medical doctor before starting any new diet, especially if they have pre-existing conditions, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication.
- Recognising that nutrition advice is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
- Stopping any plan immediately and consulting a doctor if they experience adverse effects.
Dietzeo is responsible for:
- Providing reasonable uptime and security of the software platform.
- Protecting personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
- Operating the Service in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Dietzeo is not responsible for the content, accuracy, safety, or outcomes of any diet plan or nutrition advice delivered through the Service.
4. Medical disclaimer for End Clients
If you are an End Client receiving a diet plan or nutrition advice through Dietzeo:
- The information you receive is general nutrition guidance from your Nutritionist, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
- Always consult a qualified doctor before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have any medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are taking medication, or are recovering from illness or surgery.
- Individual results vary. No diet plan can guarantee any specific weight, health, or fitness outcome.
- Stop any plan immediately and consult a doctor if you experience symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, persistent discomfort, allergic reactions, or any unexpected health change.
- In case of a medical emergency, contact emergency services or visit a hospital immediately. Do not rely on Dietzeo or any chat or message feature within it for emergency medical guidance.
5. Third-party content
Dietzeo includes some default content (e.g., a default food database with approximate nutrition values, default templates) that nutritionists may choose to use as a starting point. This default content is provided for convenience only and is not medical advice. Nutritionists are responsible for verifying its accuracy and appropriateness for each client.
The Service may also link to or display content hosted by third parties (e.g., embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos a Nutritionist chooses to feature). We do not control or endorse third-party content.
6. No professional relationship with Dietzeo
Using Dietzeo does not create a doctor-patient, nutritionist-client, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship between you and Dietzeo, Uma Mahesh, or any of our team members. Your professional relationship is with the Nutritionist you choose to work with.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dietzeo and its operator (Uma Mahesh, Sole Proprietor) are not liable for:
- Any health, medical, nutritional, or wellness outcome experienced by an End Client.
- Any damages, losses, or harm arising out of any diet plan, recommendation, or advice provided by a Nutritionist using the Service.
- Errors or omissions in the default food database or any default content provided by the Service.
- Acts or omissions of any Nutritionist using the Service.
This limitation is also explained in our Terms of Service, which govern your use of Dietzeo overall.
8. Contact
If you have questions about this disclaimer, email hello@dietzeo.com. For diet-plan questions or health concerns, contact your Nutritionist or your doctor - Dietzeo cannot answer those.
